Vinyl Decal Instructions – Dry application
Your vinyl decal will come with 3 layers: The paper backing, the vinyl decal, and a clear transfer sheet. Vinyl should be applied at room temperature.
Step 1: Clean the designated area with soapy water. Dry completely.
Step 2: Ensure the clear transfer sheet has good contact with the vinyl decal by rubbing it with a squeegee or credit card.
Step 3: Line up the decal, paper backing side down. Optional: Use masking tape on one edge of the transfer sheet and your destination to make a “hinge” for when you apply the decal.
Step 4: Remove the paper backing off the transfer sheet. The vinyl should stay on the transfer sheet. If the vinyl sticks to the paper rather than the transfer sheet, replace the paper backing and repeat Step 2. For best results, peel the paper off the transfer sheet, rather than peeling the transfer sheet off the paper.
Step 5: Apply the transfer sheet to the destination from one edge to the other edge with a squeegee or credit card, making sure to get all the air bubbles out that may form. Rub the transfer sheet to ensure the vinyl sticks to the destination.
Step 6: Slowly peel the transfer tape off the vinyl. If the vinyl sticks to the transfer sheet, replace the transfer sheet and repeat Step 5. Optional: Use a pin to poke any air bubbles that won’t squeegee out from under the vinyl.
Step 7: Enjoy your new decal!
Note: Please refrain from washing the area for at least 24 hours.
